Description
Slippery elm (Ulmus rubra) is a tree that is native to North America. Only the inner bark of slippery elm, not the whole bark, is used as a supplement. The inner bark contains chemicals that can increase mucous secretion, which might be helpful for stomach and intestinal problems.
Some slippery elm bark goes into a thick paste when added to water, this product takes a long time to do that making it easier to consume but with the same beneficial effects.
Slippery elm extract may support sore throats, constipation, stomach ulcers, and skin disorders. Slippery elm bark extract may help support the bowels, aid digestion, and promote healthy stomach pH in already healthy individuals.

Packaging
We only now use 100% recyclable or reusable packaging! It costs us a bit more but we think it's the right thing to do!
Our own bemo products are in re-useable high food grade stand-up pouches - just wash out and use again. Our cool black courier bags are 100% home compostable - simply add them to your home compost bin! (removing the shipping labels is recommended).
Delivery
We ship to any address (including rural addresses and PO boxes) in NZ, we charge a flat rate for normal (non-rural) delivery, and a flat rate for rural delivery (if your address is "RD") no matter how much you order. We use CourierPost and no signature is required.
Our aim is to ship orders on the day we receive them if we get orders before 3pm. Stock is all despatched from 1 location and usually you'll receive your order next day for major metro areas, and other locations within 1-2 days.
We provide shipping updates and notifications by email to keep you informed.
